With the announcement of the final resolution of the second call for applications of the Experiencias de Turismo España Program, which became effective last October, the Innova Experiencia Andalusí project is expanding and welcoming three new entities and their corresponding territories. These include Eturia CLM —the Public Company for the Promotion of Tourism and Handicrafts of Castilla-La Mancha–, Prodetur MP, SAU —the instrumental society of the Provincial Council of Seville for the Promotion of Economic Development and Tourism in the province— and the City Council of Medinaceli (Soria).
These three entities, along with the Visit Valencia Foundation from the Valencian Community, the Mancomunidad de Municipios de Costa del Sol-Axarquía, the Comarca del Guadajoz y Campiña Este of Córdoba, and the company Open Concept / Let’s Go Halal —which were already participating in the first edition of the project— were selected in a call launched in 2023, which had 315 projects participating, of which only 41 were selected.
All of them, together with the Government of Aragón, the Provincial Council of Soria, and the Comarca Comunidad de Calatayud, which were also beneficiaries of the first call of the Experiencias de Turismo España program, have set out to join forces and create synergies to work on the revaluation of Andalusian heritage from a renewed perspective in their respective territories.
The Experiencias de Turismo España Program, driven by the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Tourism (now Mintur) and launched by the Secretary of State for Tourism under the Plan de Recuperación Transformación y Resiliencia framework, is financed through Next Generation EU funds.
